BIO
Marissa Skovron is an accomplished pianist and singer, performer, vocal coach and piano teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. She is proficient in a diverse range of musical genres and has performed extensively in the live entertainment industry. Marissa began playing the piano at age 4 and studied for thirteen years with the late Nehama Patkin OAM before completing two degrees at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA; University of Melbourne): a Bachelor of Music Performance in Classical Piano (2002) and a Bachelor of Music Performance in Voice (2005). Marissa has over 20 years’ experience performing broadly as a pianist, singer-pianist, accompanist, session instrumentalist, pit pianist and solo vocalist in professional theatrical, studio, corporate and private capacities around Melbourne. She released her first EP, Chasing Rainbows, in 2012, which showcases her songwriting, vocal and pianistic skills. Marissa also works as a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and is a mother of two.

Marissa is currently performing as deputy pianist (Keyboard II) in MJ The Musical at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne.
